2025 FALL COMMunity fellowship
General Fellowship Information:
14 week program: August 7th- Nov 14th
Weekly Team Meeting: 4-5 pm on Mondays and Fridays
$20/hour, 10-15 hours/week
The Loud Light Fall Fellowship will boost voter registration, confidence, education, and turnout around the fall election, increase Loud Light’s relationships with partnering schools and communities, and enhance the culture of civic engagement in Kansas. We are hiring students at every major university in Kansas to be campus coordinators. They will learn and then share that information with their peers and communities. Through a variety of tactics our fellows will educate about voting rights, important voter deadlines, eligibility and ID requirements to vote, what's on their local ballot, where and how to vote.
Program Goals:
Fellows become a campus and community resource
Register new voters, collect “Pledge to Votes”, and turn out existing voters in local elections
Fellows research local races and issues
Collaborate on potential candidate forums
Fellows will make contact with potential voters through:
Canvassing
Tabling
Phonebanking
Classroom presentations
Responsibilities:
Commitment of 10-15 hours per week.
2 meetings per week lasting approximately 1 hour each and 1 meeting a week lasting approximately 30 minutes. Primary meetings will be 4-5 pm on Monday and Friday, secondary meetings will be scheduled based on fellow preference and availability
Fellows will be in touch with the Program Lead via email each week for any help they may need.
Additional leadership opportunities are possible.
